Offering a diverse range of programmes and services, Odyssey House operates from eight treatment centres in Auckland City, Manukau City, and Whangarei and employs over 110 people.

Practitioner - Co-Existing Disorders
Do you like to work with people and make a difference? Do you have a health related qualification, have experience working in the AOD rehabilitation and/or mental health sector and are skilled in group and individual therapy?
Odyssey House has been helping people change their lives since 1980. We deliver high quality, comprehensive services for people with addictions through a range of residential and community programmes.
The Co-Existing Disorders Programmes conduct a unique modified “Therapeutic Community” for those presenting with a major mental illness in conjunction with alcohol/drug/gambling dependency.
Although there’s no typical Odyssey House employee, sharing our commitment to helping people help themselves is important. You’ll be a person who actively enjoys being with people; someone who can contribute to a positive environment for clients, their families and staff; and someone who is not afraid of challenges.
We are seeking candidates who have:
• A relevant qualification in health, social work or mental health
• A willingness to embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) model
• Skills in group and individual therapy
• Motivational interviewing experience
• Experience working in the AOD/mental health field
• Have an interest in working with families
• A full NZ driver's licence
