We are committed to staying at the forefront of addictions treatment, and constantly looking to find new and better ways of working.
We are determined to be the best that we can be, and to help people achieve the best recovery outcomes possible. To do this, we have created an ‘incubator’ for new programmes and approaches. This incubator provides specialist knowledge and support for programmes in development, which gives them additional resources while in their early stages.
Collaboration, evaluation, rapid quality improvement, quick adjustments for changing needs and ‘out of the box’ thinking are combined to ensure that our programmes are effective and adapted to the needs of the people they aim to help.
Some recent initiatives include:
Demonstration programme with primary care, in collaboration with the Health Promotion Agency.
See the results here.
Roll-out of electronic consumer feedback system, in collaboration with the New Zealand Mental Health Commission.
Development of a National Youth Service Advisor role with the New Zealand Drug Foundation.
