OUR GOALS

The goal is to assist those suffering from the problems associated with substance abuse and addiction; to change negative, self-defeating behavioural, emotional and cognitive patterns towards positive, self-enhancing ones resulting in pro-social values, attitudes and conduct.

WHAT WE DO

We operate a Treatment Centre for people of all ages with Drug, Alcohol, and Gambling addictions.

Based on a treatment model that emerged from the United States in 1958, it is a psychiatrically oriented Therapeutic Community (TC).

The primary objective of a TC is to foster personal growth and change.

The treatment is holistic. This means treatment of the physical, emotional, psychological, behavioural, intellectual, spiritual, and vocational aspects of a person.

The TC focuses on the need for global change in lifestyle and identity.

The treatment assumes the need to alter previous dysfunctional coping mechanisms.
The TC is overtly value-based – actively promoting Right Living as a prerequisite for recovery. This includes certain beliefs and core values such as:
